Matt Barackman
Hi,
My name is Matt and I'm a third year cognitive science major at the University of California, Berkeley. I am a proud member of Pi Kappa Phi and I am excited to represent Gamma Chapter this summer on JOH.
I want to participate in JOH because so many of the brothers in my chapter have come back from JOH having had such great experiences that I knew it was something that I wanted to do. I see this trip as a unique opportunity to challenge myself spiritually, mentally, and physically. I hope that through this trip I will also be able to make a difference in the lives of those that I encounter.
Some of my interests include snowboarding, attending and booking concerts, watching movies, and attempting to play guitar. Through my musical interests I recently became friends with someone who is bound to a wheelchair yet reminds me a lot of myself. His great personality and courage has been a real inspiration to me in preparing for this trip.
